Ten Acreage Reporting Enhancements You May Have Missed

Acreage reporting is one of the most important aspects of crop insurance, and we know you need a good system to do it right.

Our team gathers feedback from real-world agents and agency employees to understand how they use AgriNet and how we can make it better. The system is constantly upgraded and expanded to give you the best acreage reporting experience possible.

Below, we’ve compiled ten of the most exciting AgriNet enhancements that will make this acreage reporting season easier than ever.

More improvements are coming soon; keep an eye on your Agent Update email newsletter for information about new features as they are released.

10. Easily Update F/T/F Information

Our new CLU Update Tool allows users to transfer established links from an old farm/tract/field to a new one in a few simple steps.

9. Find PP Acres at a Glance

We’ve made it easy to distinguish Prevented Planting acreage with a special “crosshatch” pattern which will only appear on fields designated PP.

Don’t like the look? You can turn this feature off from the Users Preferences screen.

8. Enjoy Easy-to-Read and Fully Customizable Maps

We’re constantly upgrading our system to make sure your maps are easy to use and pleasant to look at. Recently, we’ve increased the size of labels on the map to improve readability.

We also added an option to the User Preferences screen allowing users to adjust the opacity of field colors on the map. Try it out and find the setting that works best for you!

7. Let Our System Help with Assigning Shareholders

When a user adds a shareholder to a field, the system will automatically identify the policyholders who are most likely to have a share in that field. They will be moved to the top of the drop-down menu and listed in bold so they are easier to find.

6. Save Time Adding Fields to Units

When the user selects a field on the map and opens the “Add to Unit” tool, they may now add the field to multiple units at once instead of repeating the process for each unit.

5. Make the Most of your Precision Ag Data

The new Precision Data Upload tool makes it easier than ever to upload and manage your precision agriculture data in AgriNet.

4. Enjoy an Enhanced Reconciliation Process

The Reconciliation screen – previously called the “Finalize” screen – has received some major upgrades.

Users may now key signature dates directly onto the Reconciliation screen. Previously, this ability was available only in the policy processing portion of AgriNet. Click here to learn more.

The updated Summary tab may now be used to update all acreage lines belonging to a commodity with a single click, without the need to navigate to the policy processing portion of AgriNet. Click here to learn more.

Finally, the Reconciliation screen will now list the share percentage for each planting event for easy reference.

3. Use CART to Streamline Acreage Reporting

Common Acreage Reporting Transmission (CART) makes acreage reporting easy, and AgriNet leads the industry in CART integration with a quick and simple process for importing and linking data.

2. Check Out Our Upgraded ACRSI System

The Acreage Crop Reporting Streamlining Initiative (ACRSI) is a USDA-sponsored program that allows agents to electronically submit planted acreage to the FSA for policyholders to sign.

AgriNet makes ACRSI easy – and now our system is even better. On the “ACRSI Reporting” screen, users may now apply a commodity type or use to multiple planting events at the same time, significantly speeding up the process.

1. Report Acreage in Just a Few Clicks with Quick Plant

Our highly requested Quick Plant tool allows users to rapidly report multiple fields at once with just a few easy clicks. It functions similarly to the Quick Report tool available in the previous version of AgriNet Mapping.

This versatile feature may also be used to report Prevented Planting acres and uninsurable acres, and to edit previously-created planting events.

Just Released!

Even more great AgriNet enhancements were released on May 13. Check out a few of the highlights below.

Get SOIs Out Fast

The system no longer requires a hard copy of the acreage report to generate Schedules of Insurance. This will greatly expedite SOI issuance.

See Available CART Data in One Place

The new Available CART Data Report allows users to see which CART records are available for import across all their policies. This means you no longer need to open each policy in AgriNet Mapping to check for data.

This report is available in AgriNet on the Reports tab, below the Underwriting header.

Spend Less Time Printing Reports

When users generate mapping reports, the system will now remember the options and settings they previously selected, allowing you to get through these screens quickly.

See Only the Units That Matter

Menus in AgriNet Mapping will no longer list units marked No Longer Farming in order to reduce confusion and clutter.
