You received two nominations this quarter, both were from fellow AgriSompo team members. How do you think your approach to your work inspires others around you?
I want everyone to be successful on this team. I try my best to share the knowledge that I have gained in the seventeen years I have been in the crop insurance industry. Everyone on the Agency Services team has something to offer. I find if you give people knowledge, they will feel empowered.
What about your team inspires you each day?
This team works hard. We have an extremely high volume of email that is submitted to our team daily. Many team members will step up to help each other when someone is overwhelmed. It’s also important to know that we can ask questions when we need help if we don’t know the answer or how to properly resolve an issue.
What do you enjoy the most about your role?
Variety. We have many types of job duties and tasks in Agency Services so I never know what to expect daily.
How would you define great customer service?
My goal with service is to help the end user resolve an issue or answer a question without needing to pass them off to another individual. I will try my best to find the answer to their question or resolve their issue instead of transferring a call or forwarding an email. I want to be their “one-stop-shop” instead of passing them on.
What advice would you give to someone just starting out in their career?
It’s simple: find something you enjoy and that you find rewarding. Then work really hard at doing your best every day.
